Made for small eyes and small hands, this pamphlet holds “instructive Fables, ingenious Riddles, and merry Conundrums.” As are many a children's pamphlet, the author is attributed to Thomas Thumb. The Frontice image has the following rhyme:

“Oft have I heard Tom Thumb declare,

Good Boys with him his nuts should share;

Strange as it is, Report so tells,

To naughty Boys he gives the shells.”
